AuthorDocs offer a full camera ready artwork service to suit all quality requirements from 300-1200 dpi laser output through to colour separated bromides and films. Whilst we don't have phototypesetting equipment in house, we have an extremely good relationship with a local bureau and can provide films or bromides for most file types.

Printing and Duplication

We are happy to offer advice on duplication methods and can either put you in touch with a printer or arrange the entire printing/packaging operation for you. As examples:-

Black and White - 1200 dpi - 200 copies: Component level technical manual for a large electronics company. AuthorDocs researched, wrote and produced the document which comprised both A4 and A3 pages. We provided the final copy on disk which was supplied to a local printer who then produced copies on a Xerox Docutech. The A3 pages were folded to A4, chapter dividers inserted, the document drilled for binding and then shrink wrapped for distribution. Our customer received one invoice for the project.

Full Colour - 2400 dpi - 180 copies: 3.5 inch disk labels and crystal case instruction inserts for a survey disk. AuthorDocs researched, wrote and produced the multimedia survey and artwork as a master disk. Label and insert artwork was supplied to the printer on disk and full colour labels and inserts were produced. Disks, labels and inserts were supplied to a duplication/packaging company who completed the 180 copies, boxed ready for delivery. Again our customer received one invoice for the project.

Two Colour - 2400 dpi - 5000 copies: A5, 60 page Payphone User Guide. AuthorDocs researched, wrote and produced the document. We supplied it, on disk, to a phototypesetting bureau who produced the colour separated films. The films were then supplied to the customer who used his own printer to produce the copies.
